A current research study with pets by the Scripps Research Institute in San Diego found that the brain's serotonin receptors are fired up by CBD. This was located to be directly pertaining to a reduction in drug-seeking actions. In this research study, CBD oil was provided to rats after they were given alcohol and cocaine. The results showed that also five months after CBD had left their systems, the rats did not engage in drug-seeking habits.
